The caps are the original Boss 9 caps. They are still available through NPD and Mustangs Unlimited. They bolt on from the back so they can't be stolen as easily.

The cage starts with a roll bar. It extends back into the trunk and forward to the front of the car. The side bars are placed so I can get in and out easily.

Default Ram air base

The ram air base was hand fabricated using a K&N drop aircleaner and adding to it so the rubber seal would drop down over for the ram air effect.

The shop is thinking about setting up to make the air cleaner out of billet aluminum. It would work on any mustang with the Boss scoop and a holley carb. We're still kicking this around.

As far as it being on Ebay. A car is only new once. The reserve and buy it now is high but still less than the build cost. If I can sell it, I can build another with what we've learned. If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it and enjoy it.

I get bored not working on a car and have too much wrapped up into this one to be able to do another.

If anyone would be interested in a ram air like this one go to
www.metalcraftersonline.com and email them. The more interest that's shown, the more likely they are to set the machining up for it.

Up to $80K with 4 days left. You might just sell it. Cool.

Congrats Steve on the award!! The guys at Metal Crafters were pretty stoked about it...
Being able to see it in person certainly helped give me some idea's, SOOO I talked to John about painting it, and of course it didnt take much to talk my hubby Robert about doing exhaust and console for mine! I'll take pics of a die hard Chevy guy working on a Ford!! Sorry to hear tho' we wont be seeing it around...
