Red face Cowl Vent Installation

I putting back my '69 and having a brain fade. The cowl vent panel is held on by screws in the front, but what keeps the back of the panel up. I'm thinking that there should be some rubber adjusters, but I have looked in most catalogs and can't find any vent related parts. Any suggestions?

i got a 69 and i just removed my cowl panel. there were screws in the front and the back was against the windshield and trim piece there. there were also 2 foam blocks about 2x3" and 1 1/2" high. they were on both sides of the cowl close to the edges. i can take some pictures of them tonight if you want.

as far as I know the windshield side of the cowl is pressed in underneath the molding, it slides in between the metal clamp thing and the molding itself, then you secure the screws at the front

I do not have the windshield in, but would think it would somehow be supported other than the windshield trim. I remember the foam blocks, but it has been four years and I'm still scratching my head. Any pictures would sure be helpful.

this is the best pic I could find quickly, it should be those 5 clips you see screwed onto the cowl area, attached to the moulding. The cowl slides in between the clips and moulding

I appreciate the pictures. That explains the rear connection. I found the foam blocks and guess the hunt is now on to find those clips.
