Default WHY ME...WHY ME! I'm starting to second guess this whole FORD THING!

Hey guys,

I'm back!!! (Creepy voice)

Ok, this issue has to do with another issue on this site. Please refer to forum link below:

https://mustangforums.com/forum/clas...ease-help.html

Ok, hopefully you read all that crap first.

I'm a little frustrated so hang in there with me!

I put in a 0.031 discharge nozzle in my Holley and now it's shooting flames when I romp on it. First, it wasn't getting enough fuel...now it seems that it's getting too much fuel! I can't win with this car!

Again, please refer to https://mustangforums.com/forum/clas...ease-help.html

Anybody wanna buy a 70 Mustang!?!?!?!

So let me get this straight. It's the Ford Mustang's fault, that you can't tune a Holley carb?

Not trying to offend, but if you can't fix your own car, you shouln't be a mechanic and fix other peoples.

Default wow wow wow

Wow you guys are brutal ( I like it)!!! I have had nothing but trouble with my 570 street Avenger on my 289. I have sent it back to Holley 3 times. Meanwhile I use an old school 600 (holley) while my street avenger is being sent back. It runs perfect with the 600 by the way.

I have been on the phone with Holley Tech (look on internet for number) each time it comes back.
I finally convinced them to send me a new unit, arrived today. I will let you know the outcome.

I have heard from several builders that Holley has had some recent quality control problems? Call the tech guys at Holley they are super nice and may be able to help you,

Try that and if that doesnt work, kill yourself.

Sorry couldnt resist!!! LOL

If your car runs that good with the 600, then why change it? Is there something wrong with it?

To the original poster. Why not just try a different carb?

Well I guess if you are comfortable working on Honda or Chrysler products a Ford might be a challenge due to the simplicity and common sense of engineering.

Some people, ok most people, cant do carbs very well if at all.
