One of the reasons all non-show car 65-66's should be upgraded to dual m/c setups.

Sounds like the quarter extension, not the valence.

ok WHEW. I was opening this thread a little scared of what I was going to see... doesn't sound too bad at all. Better the quarter extension than the valance, tail light panel, quarter panel, or practically anything else lol.

dual bowl master cylinder ftw..... too bad mine is leaking now I believe it's only about 2 years old or a little more too.

this was the #2 thing i did to my '65. had the power steering line go out so i had to replace it first haha.

i had to hit the brakes hard cuz a light and the RR wheel cylinder started leaking like a siv and i barely stopped and lost 3/4 of the fluid from the old single bowl.

i kept the bowl though so i still have the orig.

Everything I build that starts with a single pot and drums ends up with dual MC and discs. Its like nuking the site from orbit, its the only way to be sure.

where can i get one? how much? and is the install pretty straight forward as a direct replacement for my single bowl m/c?

Well, depends on whether or not you have power brakes. Assuming you don't, you can go one of two ways. You can get a '67 m/c and use your old pushrod, or you can get a '76 (iirc) Maverick m/c which includes the proper length pushrod. Either are available from any parts store.

Install is pretty straightforward, although you'll have to do some replumbing of brake lines. It's not really difficult, just a little time consuming. I bent new lines for the front of my car when I did a disc brake swap and the new ones fit better than the OE stuff I pulled off.
