Default Modifying seat rails/floor pans

So, because I am 6'3" with a long torso, I'm 99% sure I will have to modify my mustang in some way to fit comfortably. I've been reading some stuff about lowering the seat, modifying the tracks, or doing something with the floor pans to get a little more head room. Can someone tell me what exactly is done to gain an inch, maybe inch and a half of head room?

I still haven't sat in a '65-'66 mustang by the way. I know some of you who are the same height as me (or taller) fit okay in them, but I sat in my friend's dad's 1969 Camaro; I had to slouch so my head wouldn't rub on the headliner and leg room wasn't the best (but better than head room), so I'm assuming a 65 or 66 mustang won't be much better.

If you are still in the overhaul stage, then drilling off the seat pans and lowering is a good way to go.

I'm 6'2" and had already finished the interior, so I relocated the seat tracks back about 1.5". That in itself made a tremendous difference in the confort. I also am using the Procar Elite seats which have a little lower seat pad.

I'm 6'4" and I lowered the seat pans in my 67. Feels GREAT now. I look directly our the center of the windshield and my legs aren't cramped at all.
