Finally.....made some progress this weekend. Installed the new Golden Legion door on the drivers side. Got seams lined up but couldn't adjust to get the rear corner in, it was sticking out almost 1/2 inch. Out came the grinder to cut the bottom so I could push it in flush with the side of the car. After a few hours of welding and grinding I got the door to fit just about perfectly....at least as good as the original door.

Thinking it wasn't so bad, just time consuming, I'm ready to do the right side door. Hopefully it goes in just as easy.

Replaced the water pump. It didn't leak but the bearing was sloppy and growling. Wore vinyl glove and still got Permatex and Never Seize all over my hands.

Hightower.... are you using plastic to cover the foam before you pull the covers over? If you do, use the plastic from dry cleaning...works great and the covers slide right on and then you can pull the plastic out before hog rings

Spent the evening trying to get a VERY rusty battery tray out......FINALLY got the two tray bolts removed (after much beating with an air hammer and a cold chisel) got one of the bottom bolts out from the tray support, but am flustered with the one closest to the front. It's head is stripped and I cant get anything on it to turn it. ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!

Havin' fun though!!
