Default Anyone know what these are for?

Tear down progressing on the 67. After pulling the cowl I noticed these two bolts running through the top of the firewall. They don't seem to be holding anything, just bolted through.
Any ideas what they are for? http://twitpic.com/3muvhw

The nuts look like something you would buy from a hardware store. Not the typical self locking the ford used back then.

It looks like maybe they made their own bracket for some kind of tower braces.
