My next step was either spend 1K+ on the aluminum head setup, or make a custom supercharger/turbo system. The PO of my car spent $2500 getting it rebuilt and bored out.

All that on an I6?!
Damn, sounds like that engine was worth a good amount...

Just had my 68's 200 rebuilt with 3 year warranty. I want to keep it as original as possible, even though it's not a concours show car. I always thought the more original the more the car's value, but that's my opinion.

If you don't mind me asking, what'd it cost you? I can understand it being expensive because of that nice warranty.

$3,500....included rebuild, stripped and painted, new starter, new fuel pump, new timing chain, and all the normal new internal parts.

There are a lot of cool things you can do and as I like to be different I'm going to spend the money to do something fairly unique. I don't want a concours car but I don't want a bling machine either. I'm thinking a triple intake with 'dual' exhaust. We'll see what else I do when it gets down to it. Right now I have to get it running as is, money for upgrade on the engine won't be around for a few years.

I added Clifford Headers and a dual exhaust. Looks good and sounds good. Neither as good as a V8 but she runs good and will cruise at 70 MPH all day long.

Log onto Clifford.com. They have a ton of upgrades and great to talk to.

I am also thinking about the new Pony Carbs carburetor. Not the rebuilt original but the new one they offer.
