Default valve cover breather

Hi, i have a 65' I6. Just wondering what would happen if i were to replace the breather on the valve cover with a regular cap without a breather.

Thanks for all the help.

Fresh air needs to come in the valve cover, which is drawn through the PCV valve, back into the intake. If you block that off, you will create issues for the motor.

Like most things on the engine, that breather serves a specific purpose. Don't plug it.
