I'd love to drive it as long as a spy in an Aston Martin doesn't hack my Mustang up when I try to pass him lol.

How often do you get stuck behind a truck on that road? Any passing opportunities?

I need to move away from Florida. I am more a snow and mountains guy, and this place has neither.

never really. basically there's a 2 lane (not too steep) road up to 1600m (5250ft)
from there you have the choice of either going through a tunnel (trucks have to) which is straight road, or use the pass going up to 2000m (6500ft) and the same on the way back down. just after the pass you meet the main traffic from the tunnel again
The pass is hardly used since you would probably add 30 mins on the journey.
On the weekend the pass has traffic (tourists with all the time in the world), but I went there on a Monday morning and I'd say 80% of the traffic was bikes. If you want to speed up there, people just make room for you as they are enjoying the scenery and crawl up there. so not a problem really :-)

Looks and sounds like a great place to visit. Probably quite a few pic opportunities too.

Yeah, but more like 1,430 miles if you drive there on roads like this.
