Boss 302 old and new
I just got back from a track event at Watkins Glen race way in NY today.
Here is a once in my life time pic event I got to see today with a 1970 Boss 302 and a 2012 Boss 302.
I got to ride in the '70 Boss 302 over to where we took the pics.
I wanted to ride in the '70 Boss 302 on the track but the driver wasn't certified so I couldn't get a ride with him but i did manage to get a ride with a blue '12 Boss 302 and a '97 Cobra.
Any way, here are the pics of the two Boss cars.
The pictures were taken in Watkins Glen victory lane...
The drivers. I didn't get to meet the '12 owner, but Rick, the '70 owner is a really nice guy.
Enjoy.

A little info on the '70 Boss 302.
It is pretty much all stock accept for the engine and a lower control arms.
It even has the full stock interior. There have been no Trans Am mods made to the car.
The guy was suffering from brake fade over the two day event. Rick was hoping to get is Barewood brakes before the event, but they didn't make it in time.
He put the car into the tire wall and suffered some minor to the front end that can been seen if looked really close, the hood, front spoiler and valance are messed up a little.
He got lucky.
I got more pics if any one wants to see them of the '70 Boss and a crashed 70K+ Z06 Vette that lost it just before we left.

Here are pics of the two cars I rode in. The '97 Cobra is a friend of mine who is a track instructor, the Blue '12 is buddies who drove it from Illinois, tracked it for two days and is driving it back home.
Crashed Vette, my other friends GT track car is in the back ground.
More pics of the '70 Boss 302.

Thanks!!
The '70 Boss 302 hands down even though I only got to ride in it at only 15-20 MPH.
The '12 Boss 302 handled that track very nice and it was a dream to ride in at 130-135 MPH.
The '97 Cobra handled very nice on the track the best and felt great at 135+ MPH, but the ride was very harsh.
