Hey Kym,

Are there many early mustangs in Australia? Was your car sold there originally or imported later? How easy is it to import/own vintage cars in Australia?

Ford has never sold a mustang in aus all have been imported over.Aus has some strict car laws if you up the power you have to make sure the brakes and suspension can handle it and i believe your insurance is higher.Being the mustang is lhd he has to keep it all stock if he upgrades it he will have to make it rhd which is a real pain.I have some aussie friends i heard enough to not want to own a car there lol.

Hi

There lots over here, each state in Australia (South Australia where i am, New South Wales, Queens land, Victoria, western Australia Northern Territory and Tasmania all Have
different Law in relation to Road traffic Act ) You can have the vehicle under different
conditions. ie Mine is on Club rego which means it is still left hand drive and is only
to have period modifications that is one that the dealer would do when it was bought.
If you have one which has been converted to right hand drive you can do many modification with in the laws.

have a look at these, just some of the events in Adelaide. You will see not all are stock cars. The first one is good.
