Default 1966 Mustangs

Does anyone know if there was a mustang dealership fitting paxton supercharges to mustangs back in 1966?
I know that on the 66 Shelby it was an option and some were fitted, but could you get one on any 289?????

Thanks Kym

Thanks But I have found the answer I wanted and it is located in

http://www.paxtonauto.com/article.php?id=3

The Paxton supercharger option was produced in limited quantities for the Shelby GT-350 Mustang, from 1966 to 1968. This set-up was also available as an over-the counter dealer installed option on standard small-block V8 Mustangs from 1965-‘72.

thanks Kym

Yea, you can still buy that today, however the units from back in the day command a large premium

Here in Australia I can get Historic Registration for my vehicle (at a much lower cost)
but it has to only be fitted with factory or dealer options on the time.
I have tried to put a photo of my vehicle on this sit but I can't

If it were my car, I would look at adding dust cap covers to the rear and buy new anodized front dust covers for the front. These little details would really stand out to those that know the history of the racing with these cars.

Here is a shot of the front. Again, I think your car looks great. I'm sure there are very few down under. It is just a little detail that really finishes off the car.

Since the photo I have put some standard caps on. But i have seen a set that someone has had made up. they are quit thin with a pushed out center and they look really cool,
when i get a chance I will try and get some made. You might find this spot interesting.
