im looking to get my hands on some books so i can learn how to build a stroker motor from scratch. anyone have any recommendations on books that helped them learn everything they know today about building engines?

Thanks!

I bought a sbf stroker book. I was thoroughly disappointed. I learned more here.

sbftech.com More than 10 posts opens up the good tech articles. I spent no less than 24 hours reading just the tech articles.

It's the same as any other motor. A stroker kit is pointless without a good set of aftermarket heads and matching induction/headers. Since most of us don't have a clue selecting the optimum cam, I recommend a custom cam for your combo from a respected builder. Other than clearancing for the additional stroke, it's the same.

I agree. You don't need a specific stroker book, just the common "Rebuilding Small Block Fords" that's in most book stores. There are a couple quirks to strokers, like block clearancing (not always required) and choosing the right piston/rod combo, but an engine is still an engine.
