Default 69 Mach 1 Sitting for 30 Years!

So i just got a hold of my new project. Its a 69 mach 1. im new to this form and new to mustangs. Im thinkin about just rebuilding the 351w thats currenty in it now. does anyone have any ideas??? below are also some pics. this was my dads car when he was a teenager and he was the second owner. When rebuilding the engine should i keep everything stock, or if i upgrade the cam ect, devalue the car? I was hoping for what do you guys think?

All originals are typically worth more than modded cars, especially to collectors. I would definitely keep the original motor and just build it out properly.
An exciting project to be sure, especially since it has been in the family for so long. Good luck and keep us in the loop on the progress.

I personally would restore it back to stock, but maybe add a small cam, 4bbl intake, and carb to it.

Nice looking project. I would go with 1slow67 keep it stock with just a little tweak in the motor and keep all the olsd parts as well. Good luck.

Very cool, I bet they didn't make many Aztec Aqua Mach 1's. Here is a pic of a restored example.

If the car and engine are all original keep it that way or at least keep the original parts so that it could be returned to factory stock.

I agree with everyone here. That is a unique color and since it is family influenced I would restore it to stock. My 69 was already a mutt so I'm redoing most of it anyways. Great looking project and please keep us updated with plenty of pictures. We like pictures on this website. 8)

Dressed up with the front and rear spoilers, those make some very pretty cars. And I love Fords colouring for those years to try to "get in" with the hippie generation.

I can't wait to see what you've done to this car in the next 6 months to a year.

Keep it original. It's hard to find a car like that all together. Don't change a thing. Rebuild the motor to today's standards and technology and you'll have a nice, reliable car that will turn heads.
