Default Engines In!

Well I cant say it went without any problems but its in. The frame mounts and motor mounts were both imports so we ended up having to drill the holes out to match to get the bolts to go through.

All in all I am happy with the way it looks. This is a major hurdle in trying to complete this project within a year.

Looks good. I see you have the dizzy in. make sure you get it primed really well before you fire it. Take the valve covers off and make sure every lifter gets oil while you prime. I like to pour plenty of oil on everything after that.

Funny I was just reading your weekend horror story glad its all working out.

I wont be firing the car for at least a month or so. I have a lot of other parts I need to put on. I'm strung out on budget and have limited space so the wife wants the parts on thats already paid for.

Windows, interior, wiring, front end etc.

What headers are you running EZ

Im running a set of FPA headers. they are expensive but needed them for their ground clearance. I have a set of shorties that are jet hot coated inside and out if you need some headers.

I've read Sanderson is a good source for AOD/Borgeson they will put a extra bend in them but they range from $300-$470.

Great Job! How far down did you go with your rebuild? What kind of accessories are you putting on it (v-belt)? Was the 89 a mechanical fuel pump/normal rotation water pump? I’m still learning the mild differences between the years of 289/302/5.0. Thanks!
