Default 68 suspension up grade

Thinking abou intalling a Ron Morris coil over kit on a 68 FB. Is it worth the added cost?

I would run these http://www.streetortrack.com/Street-...-pr-24491.html its a little cheaper and has a Bilstein coilover so later on upgrades are simple.I like there upper coilover mount better its nice and thick,The ron morris ones look like a copy of tcp coilovers. The other one i would run is http://www.globalwest.net/1967-1968-...sion-kits.html about the same price has the thick upper coilover mount too.

Default Streetortrack

Thanks andrewmp6

I followed some threads and looked at streetortrack. Lot of good info there I think I'm leaning towards upgraded upper and lower control arms and do the Shelby kit modification, Rather than the coil over Kit.

A good coil over kit isn't cheap but if your a corner carver like some of us its well worth it.If you haven't seen http://home.bresnan.net/~dazed/suspension101 take a look he has a ton of info on how to get the stock suspension to handle its best.

Now what about rear end. I have a 8.8 out of a 1988 5.0 T5 can that be retro fitted into a 68 Fast Back? I also have Engine and tranny.

That 8.8 could work you will have to cut off all the mounting tabs and weld on leaf spring perches but im not sure if you would have to narrow it or not.If your fastback is a v8 it should have a 8 inch which i would keep its a better axle and already in the car less work.

I would absolutely spend the money on an upgrade to the front suspension. The OEM suspensions were far too weak & flexible for my tastes.
