My new 66 coupe daily driver
#5
You're a lucky dude! I had to wait years and buy my own 66. Mine was a daily driver, too. I drove a 66 daily for about 10 years. Now my last one is a the street rod shop getting spifffed up to be a garage queen and show car. Have fun! It's a great ride!

Sweet 66! You definitely have an awesome Dad! I really dig it with the white walls.
Is that a Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover? I have been thinking of doing that to mine. I recently used one of their wheel covers on my 95 F150 to replace the stock worn out leather wrap, and it turned out nice.
If its going to be a daily driver, I suggest setting up some kind of hidden kill switch for the ignition, and/or a fuel cut off, and/or getting something like the Club steering wheel lock. I know the Club isn't fool proof, but alot of people won't want to bother with it.
There is also a really neat locking shifter setup available for your car, since its an automatic. I cant remember the name of the company though.

Thumbs up on the '66 daily driver! I put 10k miles on mine this year and about 45k miles over the past five years. Deployments and work trips to south east Asia been keeping those miles down a little. I was at a toys for tots car show this weekend and everyone was surprised when I told them that my 67 is my only car that I own. And that I put on mileage and drive to Wal-Mart in it. I play Dungeons and Dragons but as long as I drive a 67 Mustang I am considered cool. I'm trying to gain momentum on a new phrase called a rolling restoration, basically, whatever I take apart on Friday night I have to have back together Sunday night so that I can drive to work Monday morning.
Car looks gorgeous! I would die if I pulled up to a red light and saw that next to me!

Score! Congratulations.
I love the old under dash AC systems and had one in my 64 Fairlane 500. That thing used to blow 36 degrees out of the vents.
I miss that car.
