Default 460 into a 69 question

Hello Looking for someone who has done this swap to get some dimensions. A friend is dropping a [NON BOSS head] 460 into a 69 Fastback. He is intent on building his own motor mounts and has the ability and bits and pieces to do it. He has the engine hanging in the engine bay and would like to know approx where it should be sitting.
If someone could give me any measurements it would be quite helpful.
Maybe from the backside of the right head to the firewall where the blower motor bolts on
or...... from the distributor shaft to the front side of the rad support?

Thanks in advance

I would get it as far back as possible to get better weight distribution.
Free bump nonetheless.

Long ago I had a 69 mustang with a 429. Im Pretty sure that a 429 and a 460 is the same block, so he should be able to use 429 motor mounts

They did come with 428s. If you had a stocker with a 429 you should kick yourself because it was a rare Boss429 which was squeezed in somehow.

A Boss 429 at age 18...somebody's folks were quite generous.
Also, what could go wrong with this combo?
I'll bet there are some stories here...

I've been working since the age of 8; bought my convertible at 13 and a HiPo Mustang at 16. Paid for with cash. In my experience, it's the kid, not the car.

First, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but, here goes. No, we were very poor. I lived at home, but worked very hard to buy this car and go to college. Yes, I was very popular at college (I'm sure mostly because of the car). I did take extremely good care of it because I couldn't afford to fix it if I tore it up, However Being 18, I was not opposed to the occasional burnout or a race with a chevelle or vette or whatever else came along. And No, I am not rich now. I am a retired Police officer. The only reason that I do not have the Boss now is that an 18 wheeler made a right turn out of the left hand lane (at a stop sign) and drug his loaded trailer over the front of it and completely crushed the front of my car. Almost Scared me to death! Big sigh..... GREAT MEMORIES of that car and what went on in the back seat. Very cramped, but completely doable.....
