Cool

My builder took these two of me on this past Tuesday. The R&C front suspensions came in that afternoon, and it's mostly installed. They send the wrong engine mount brace? (then sent the one for a 351w, instead of the 429 Big Block. They are suppose to here, next Tuesday.

Ordered a bunch more parts including a new interior, steering wheel, gauge cluster, dash pad, door panels with stainless steel inserts, etc,etc,etc..... $$$ is starting to ADD UP!!!!

Sure is alot of parts to go into a car!! LOL!!!

Enjoy!!

Congrats on the great wife and the great car! I'm looking forward to more pics. I'm in Texas also. Houston area. Where are you?

As far as molding the taillight section to the back quarter panels, it would look better without the seam. We've done street rods and custom cars and they always try to eliminate as many seams as they can. The only problem with that is that if you get rear ended you can't just replace that back section and be done with it. It can get complicated.

Whatever you decide I'm sure it will look great!

When out to the shop yesterday, they removed the front strut towers, and welded in a piece of sheet metal to increase the engine bay for the 429!! Their shop is getting busy!! Every time I go out there, there is a new car. Hope they stay on the timeline!!

@ Cashs Mom, I am in Houston!!!! I'm in the Cypress area, where are you at??

We've decided to keep the seam there, as it is on the orginal Eleanor car.

Cool! We're right down the freeway from you at 290 and Eldridge. What shop are you using?

I think you're smart to keep the seam there. If you do have someone hit you, you might get by with just replacing the taillight piece and not have to do a lot of refabrication.

What picture hosting site are you using? Photobucket has been really hard to use since they changed it.

I'm using Sweet Rides in Tomball. They just opened up shop in the beginning of the year. It's owned by Marc Rancourt of Rancout Collisions off of 290 between Skinner and Spring Cypress. Jeremy Cales is working on my car. Super nice guy, and very easy to talk to, can paint, fab, do bodywork, etc. etc. He's done everything I've asked him to do and more, and its always a super job!!

Marc worked on my wife's Mercedes when she had an accident, and we got to talking late last year. He told me he was opening up a restoration shop in Tomball.

So when I got the "OKAY" from the wife, I gave him a call, and the rest is history!!

I'm just uploading the pictures as an attachment to the forums. I looked at my "rights" and now it says I may NOT post attachments, but I can do everything else. Any ideas??
