Got that out of the way...
I have a low mileage, 1967 Mustang convertible with an I-6 200 ci engine. Have owned it (more or less) since 1976 and never really drove it. Recently, I decided that since I will never sell it, I am going to make it my project car and make it into something I will actually drive.
So far I've replaced the steering with R&P, disc brakes, Shelby drop, new coils and shocks and an upgraded sway bar.
Next up is 8" rear end, new leaf springs and shocks to make it 5 bolts all around.
But yesterday I got rid of one of the biggest problems with this car. For years, the fact that it had under 30,000 actual miles has psychologically kept me from driving it much. That and I really haven't spent much time at home, or even in the United States.
Now that that is out of the way, I can get on with enjoying the car and making into the car I want.

What in the world are you doing? It's a Mustang not a museum so drive it 'til the wheels fall off!
Your list of upgrades looks good. That rack & pinion is sweet isn't it?

You got that right. And that's the plan.
The R&P is really nice; two things though: at low speed, turn rate is slower, which requires forethought when turning around, parking, whatever. But at higher speeds the turning is instantaneous and precise. It really takes a mite getting used to, but in a very good way.
