It will definately pay off with this purchase. Keep an eye out, stalk craigslist and be ready to pounce.

Really cool to get all the help and advice from you guys.

Do you guys have any recommendations for the types of site that let you search all of craigslist at once, instead of just a city at a time?

I found this one close by, and if they have the manual trans, I may go check it out.

Just came across this thread. I have to say Waffles and Booger are right in having patience. I bought what was a drivable 69 Sportroof and it is currently in the shop to this day.

Having said that Waffles, from what I have seen him trade and buy, can find anything with just a little time and patience. Having said that if you're in Charleston the mechanic I have working on my car finds coupes all the time. He found a 66 barn find just 4 days ago and picked up a 70 BOSS 2 days ago (Looks like Waffles car). Oh and if you can be really patient you have the 50th Anniversary happening this coming April in Charlotte.

Another website you can look on besides Craigslist is Fossilcars.com

Good luck and keep us informed on what you find.

www.searchtempest.com is a good one.

That car looks clean. It looks like it is a manual trans. No price listed. I rarely take someone seriously if they don't have their sale price listed. How badly could they possibly want to sell a car if they don't list a price.

I agree, I emailed asking for a price and I am hoping it isn't something ridiculous. Would be nice to get something local like that, but we'll see what happens.

Thanks for the site

Well... If you don't mind a minor project worth investing some money into...

Yea, that would be nice, I don't mind doing some work, but I don't think I could get a fastback in my price range, even one that needs some work. Thanks for still looking, I'm still searching haha

Found 2 others-

How hard is a manual swap, and about how much. I haven't heard anything from that red one close by.

Is another one that I looked at a while ago, but was kind of weary because of the roof, but I guess I should realize I won't be able to get something in perfect condition.

Need to make an adjustment to what I posted earlier. My mechanic friend did not buy the 70 BOSS it is a customers car that they will be doing work on.

I don't hate that silver one. A headliner will run ~400 installed, and recovering seats is easy. Probably another $500 for new upholstery and front foam, and you can do it yourself. Very simple.

I'd see if he'd take $8k and work from there.
