Default 66 heater question

I can turn on my fan and hear it run but no forced air is coming thru the vents. Can feel the heat just no heat is blowing.

Are you using the controls right? If I remember correctly, push the temperature control (the middle one) all the way down. This changes the setting from the vents (the air boxes under the dash getting outside air) to getting heat.

The heat and defroster controls on the 66 are a little wonky. The heater is the lever on the left, the defroster is the lever on the right and the center controls temp. The slide at the top controls the fan speed as I remember.

Yes, they are a bit odd. It's even worse on the 65, since they switched the fan speed switch mid-year. One of our cars goes Low Off High, and the other is Off Low High.

It's not the controls. Seems like they are working like they are supposed to. Guess my next step is to replace the fan motor.

Wow, I didn't know that. The 65 my husband had was the same as both of my 66's.

Are you sure you have the polarity of the wires correct. If you run the fan backwards, you get NaDa.

Then it was a later 65, or the switch was replaced. Not a big deal either way.

Haven't checked the polarity. I will try that thanks.
