Default rubber sun visor tips

Hello All, has anyone had an issue with having thier sunvisors stay put on the rear view mirror mount? I replaced both my visors and mirror mount on my 65 and can't seem to get the ends with the rubber tips to snap in place. Not a big deal, just annoying. I even tried putting liquid soap on the rubber tips to see if they would slip into place. I'm wondering if it might be an issue with the repop mirror mount. I would like to hear from anyone with a similar experience.

Sorry to bump a very old thread, but I am also having this problem. When I move the visor up or down, it comes of the bracket.

I never did get any feedback on this one, I ended up buying another mirror mount but it was only a marginal improvement. Anytime I move the visors, they will come out of the bracket. Guess I will just have to live with it.

We have original ones on our 65 convertible, and they pop out a lot too.
