Default Need some advice on a 72.

From those pictures I'm not seeing rust, I'm seeing "patina" but those are some pretty generic pictures. You'll be able to tell what you're really dealing with once you lay eyes on but if this is your target car then I'd say that it's worth the trip.

If the engine will turn over and has compression then it will run. Run good? That remains to be seen but at least bring along a fresh battery hit the key and see what smokes. That will give you a bit of insight as to how the wiring is on the car too. Crawl up its *** with a microscope as best you can to try to see what you're really dealing with.

It looks like it'll be a well optioned car, w AC and such but I wouldn't let the "1 of 1" claim impress me enough to pay a premium for it. Show up with a trailer and cash, slap him in the head with 4k and see what happens.
