Default Help me find more info on my 65 convert

My door tag is missing. I would like to find out anything possible about my car especially the production date. The vin is5F08A688291. I know it was made in Dearborn.

Here's what the mustang online decoder shows. Not much more than you already have though. http://www.mustangdecoder.com/cgi-bin/decoder.pl

Like rmodel65 says, the records were lost so it's pretty hard to find out much.

I was hoping someone would have a similar serial number out of the same factory

Do you still have the tag under the drivers side of the hood next to the fender? If so you can narrow down a lot with those numbers. I ran into the same problem with the door tag.

No I don't. The car seems to be fairly original, I've had it for 28 years. But the date codes are all over the place.

What do you mean by, "all over the place"? How big of a spread are we talking?
