steering wheel problem

Default steering wheel problem

i have a 1966 mustang and after turning either left or right the steering wheel does return to its original position otherwise the car steering runs ok there is no steering wheel vibration or pulling either to the left or right-i have a 302 automatic with power steering-anybody have any ideas as to why the steering wheel will not return after turning the car-thanks

not enough caster in the alignment perhaps.

When did it last work right?

just had to front suspension aligned-within spec

Sounds like front end needs lube...especially the ball joints.

I'm with Gun Jam,. Just because it was aligned does not mean it was done correctly especially for caster.
