Default Loudest and most aggressive Exhaust for 289 V8 Mustang 1965

Hi,

Looking on getting a loud, aggressive exhaust for my 289 V8 mustang.

Currently thinking straight pipes with Flowmaster 40 series. No Headers

Any benefits of X or H pipes?

How tips on how to get crackles & pops from the exhaust?

Dump it right at the collector, skip the pipes

Which I believe is not a good thing to do for the engine, IIRC. And it will get you a ticket...

Sounds like a decent plan there.

If motor is stock I wouldn't bother with x or h pipe. Your probably not pushing that much horsepower.

I dont remember being concerned about tickets here and its still running the headers (mainfold) so I dont think its going to cause engine issues.

It will be loud as **** little pebbles on the ground will vibrate, neighbors will be pissed, it will pop and crackel, snort fire...Just what the OP desires!
