Barn Find 1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR Deserves Some TLC

The Mustang Shelby GT500KR is known as the "King of the Road." It's a stretch to use that name for the car you see here. For the past 30 years, it's been a "Prisoner in a Storage Container."

Technically I don't consider this a true barn find since the guy the put it there and neglected it for the past 30 some years or more still owns it and is bringing it out to revive to either drive again or hopefully sell as a barn find to someone for more money.

Could be a nice car someday for someone willing to put a lot of time and money into it, but as it is, it's just a rusted mustang with GT500KR decals.

Yeah really. That thing is rougher than a night in jail. The rats have had a field day on that thing. That mans choice of storage was **** poor to say the least.

What a tragedy.

At least put it on some jacks, put a decent cover over it. Check on it every couple of months.

I agree...sounds more like a barn abandonment...and then showing us all what 30 years of neglect can do to wha was probably an nice car back when...
