Default Like my new hood?

And now for the best part of all....I bought this style hood with the expection that I would gain just over an inch on the top of the motor which would give me enough room for my strip dominator intake with no spacer and my current drop base with 2.25 filter.

Well...I have over 3 inches!!!!!!! of extra space now :horror: that's enough room for the intake, my phenolic spacer, and a much taller filter :jawdrop:

I snapped a shot in the hole and lightened it up a bit to show

I am really excited that I might be able to get enough out of the car now to be running in the 11s with 245s on the front, road/street suspension, and only 275 40 17 drag radials in the rear.

Car is 'supposed' to be done by Saturday....so keep your fingers crossed for me. The shop has to repair the corners a tad since they were damaged in shipping...but they said its nothing to hard. I can't wait till the 8th (april) and see what the new combo I can fit under there will net me in the 1/4

Hood looks awesome. Where'd you get those seats?

Nick...I see you have about 3 more inches to play with. But, are you going to get any benefit with more cold air induction? I forgot what your air cleaner looked like.

I should. I really bought the hood for the clearance...the hole I am hoping will help with ventilation on the motor...it is VERY tight in the car and the more cool air I can get down over the headers the better.

Also with the new intake I am putting on, the filter will be right up in the scoop, I also have the solid lid I put on at shows and I have a flow through lid I can put on if I want more cooler air into the motor

Someone will get rich if they make an aftermarket long gauge for our 65 mustangs.

How did you install the seats though? Weld 'em to the rails?
