Default 1967 1968 disk brake conversion

I have a 1967 6-cyl coupe and a 1968 8-cyl coupe both with drum brakes. I would like to convert the drums to disk for relatively cheap. What donor cars can I use (years and makes) and what parts would I need to make this conversion go smoothly. I have heard the Granadas (I don’t know what years) could be used but, could Mavericks, Montegos, and Monterays also be used? If so what years?

Default RE: 1967 1968 disk brake conversion

I just did the conversion from front drum to disc on my 65 FB. By the time I added up all the cost of parts, machining, new calipers and the rest, I found out that going with a new set of Wilwoods was about the same cost. A lot easier to install, 20th century technology, a LOT less weight on the nose of the car. The only "used" part I put in was a 1976 Maverick dual master cylinder. That was also a very easy swap.
If you want to look at the Wilwoods let me know. I did a group purchase not too long ago, and the price was excellent. My price ended up being under $500.00.
