Front seats, what should i do?
I have a 70 and my front seats are in desperate shape, the rear, and most of the interior is in decent condition, minus the dash of course. My question is what should o do for my front seats, Im torn between having them re upholstered, like origional, and buying aftermarket seats like the procar rally seats or summit drag race buckets.procar rally seat

Please, not the Summit seats! (unless you're going for that full racer look) How about some late model Stang seats? They sell on Ebay all the time for a few hundred bucks - definitely cheaper that the Procar ones.

You could buy the replacement upholstory yourself. The new upholstory is form fitted and pulls (stretched) over the seats. With the right tool you can do it yourself. There are several "How To" books just on that subject. Pick up a copy of Mustang How To, Volume 1 & 2. Excellent resource.
Each volume is $7.95 available at http://www.mustangsplus.com or http://www.mustangsunlimited.com

Again that depends on personal tastes. I myself like cars to remain as original as possible, so I would say have them reupholstered. However, late model seats are practically a bolt-in and would be more comfortable for you. Should you decide to deep-six the old seats, keep them around as parts for 70's aren't that easy to find.

It really depends, is your car pretty much stock, or have you done a lot of mods on the interior? If it's mostly stock, you should just buy reproduction ones out of an aftermarket catalog. If it's heavily modified, just buy the late-model seats or racing buckets.
