h pipe doesnt fit
i got the american thunder 2.5 exhaust kit made for headers and when i went to go fit the h pipe to the hearders i notice not only is it at the wrong angle but it is too narrow. i gave flowmaster a call and i got the stand answer that im on my own. has anyone delt with this problem before? can exhaust shopt bend an h pipe and if so how much do you think it could cost? if not do you think flexible exhaust seel pipe would help me?

RE: h pipe doesnt fit
i would do that but i already have this whole exhuast kit which everything fits together great except for that h pipe. if i took it down to a muffler shop would they be able to just bend the one i have instead of making me a new one. im just aout out of $ and this is the last thing i need to do before i can drive my car.

RE: h pipe doesnt fit
Yay, Im glad you posted this. I just bought the exact same kit from summit, should be here on Monday. Before I ordered it I called their tech department and asked if it would bolt right up to my tri-ys. He said no and that there will be modifications involved. He also said that will be true with most h-pipe kits. So I bought the American thunder kit knowing this. I am just going to get it installed the best I can and take her to a muffler shop and have them modify it for me. If you do this before me, you should let me know how it goes.

RE: h pipe doesnt fit
ok so i went down to a local muffler shop today to see if they could bend it and they told me since it was a mandrel bent piece there is no way that any muffler shop around her could bend it. they suggested that i get a flex hose and put it together with that or split the h pipe and relief cut the pipe until it fits. so now i guess im back to the drawing board or in search of a better muffler shop
