Default 1967 - 68 Shelby style console

Real or repro is very expensive. I think repros will cost somewhere between $500 - 700 and it is too much for non Shelby car. As you can see from this link to e-bay, console is made of plywood. I donĀ“t need console with Cobra logo and all other correct features to my Mustang, but I need manual trans console and nice place for two extra gauges.

My plan is to do that kind on console by my self and ask if any of you does own this kind of console. I need some mesurements and any of you could give me that information I would be very happy. Last but not least: I am not planing to do business with these things. I will make only one console for my car and that is all.

I'm making one now - using the pics from the console your referring- since I couldn't any specs on this console I used my own measurements-I used 1/2 plywood instead of the 1/4 inch that he used. Of course I didn't have the manufacturing techniques he used - but I bought carpet and vinyl and used my own techniques- I made the center piece in three sections- using a 1/4 inch finished paneling covered with the shelby walnut grain contact paper- I can post pics if u like....

I have always thought those would look good in the fastback but have been too cheap to get off my wallet and buy one. For the 500 asking price I could probably recoup most of that by selling my current console.

I wonder if they make one for an automatic sans the Cobra logos. Don't wanna be a poser, you know.

I have one of our cup holder consoles that we make set up for a 4 speed. It's made for 2 gauges and a nitrous switch. The customer changed his mind and wanted one built for a 5 speed.
