What weight Oil? What octane level fuel?
Hey guys-
I've heard some different things with oil and gas.
For oil, I am using 15w-50 and for gas I am not using 92 octane instead of 87, one of my friends who has a '65 fastback also, said that 87 is horrible for your engine.
Anyways, I was wondering what you all use for oil? I use synthetic, but wondered if their were any advantages/disadvantages with the different weights (20w-40, 15w-50, etc).
Also, should I use the highest octane I can get? (92 in most parts of nebraska).
Thanks-

Unless your car is "pinging" (detonating) or dieseling (it keeps running after you shut the motor off) there is no need for a change. If you bump the timing up a bit to get some added power, you might have to go to a higher octane. The higher the octane rating, the harder it is to light. As far as a regular oil vs. synthetic...the synthetic frees up a bit of HP.
