No, your hoses are not unhooked. Take your car to an airconditioner place and have them bleed the lines. Then, take your car back to the house and take the hoses off the compressor, then loosen the belt with the tension pulley and take it off. After that you will see several bolts that hold your compressor in place. Just take them out and WAllllah! The compresspor is removed. Now, tell me why you want to take the compressor out?
I don't want a/c. Why do you say my hoses aren't unhooked though?
Look at the pic you posted. The hoses are still connected to the compressor. Take those off, and the front hoses to the condenser then remove all of that equipment. This is not rocket science.

Oh, well I thought that engine bay looked familiar. Take a pic of your engine bay and let't see what needs to be unhooked. In other words, what exactly do you not understand about turning a wrench?

I'll post some pics in a little bit. Basically the problem I'm having is that the screws I expected to have to remove won't come out because the pulleys are too close. It almost looked to me like I was going to have to take the pulleys off but that's why I have this site so that I don't do things like that w/o a 2nd opinioin.

Good catch with the engine bay pic Tyler

Dont forget the alternator, and the brackets: alternator, A/C. When will you be done? Because I like my eggs over easy with bacon. Thanks Glen!

Yeah, I will be doing all that chit when I get a "roundtuit." One of the things that keeps me going on this is that I am trying to quit smoking cigs. Today marks my 3rd week, so I am on the road, but I need diversions. This keeps my hands busy.

Good job, I'm glad to hear it. You could come over here and keep your hands busy as you take the a/c out of my car, then you could detail my engine bay as well...don't worry though, I'll take care of Tyler's eggs & bacon

OK Flat Tire, here are some pics to show you which bolts to take out to get the compressor off. The first pic shows you which bolt to loosen so you can get the belt off. The second pic shows you which bolt to take off to get the brace bar off the compressor. The third pic shows you the two bolts to take off on the side. The 4th pic shows you the general area to look under to get the bolts off the plate that holds the compressor on the plate.

I knew how to get the belt off but how do I remove the pulley?? Thanks for those pics though...I don't even have half of the brackets holding yours on.
