In case you were asleep or of half drunk in you're younger days, they had horse power like this in the muscle car years already. Nothing new here except the new technology.

Why in hell are you DA's trying to produce that much HP from a 289? Especially in a vintage Mustang that has 40 year old body stress factors. If you want a hotrod, get a newer Mustang that is set up for that kind of power from the front to the rear with the modern technological systems.

My engine will be similiar in many ways slickman. I should be getting it back from the engine builder next week. I too will take it to a dyno to see how many horses are in there. I'll bet you a six-pack I will have more [8D].

Cobra automotive is only 20 mins from my house, I spoke to them about building my 289 Told me around 7K for 400 HP LOL
I can walk to Canton in 5 mins I might see what find of deal I can get on a T-pan for my Fastback

i stand corrected. i guess you can get that kind of hp although is a 40 year old 289 block durable under those conditions?
