The interior of my 1968 Conv't is “6U Parchment vinyl deluxe interior” but seems to have a two-tone look to it. The seat inserts are Kiwi material and have a much lighter color than the Sierra grain color on the trim areas of the seat. I've talked to a few manufactures who make "exact" reproductions of the original parchment vinyl interior, however, all of the pictures I've seen (and samples I've received) of the material do not have this same contrast between the inserts and the rest of the seat.

So, was the original material the same color and the years have discolored the inserts differently than the rest of the seats or could the seats have been recovered (which I doubt)?

Has anyone else seen this or have this problem?

I guess my concern is that if the original seats had a two-tone look, then I want the new interior kit to have the same coloring. Unfortunately, none of the interior companies I've found so far show the contrast between the colors of the material used.

Looking for your advice and who you think is the BEST supplier for authentic upholstery kits.
