Cool, I just picked my 19' 6" ft Bow rider up for $4800 three weeks ago.. Has a new V6 in it with 250 HP, all new canvas, depth finder, ship to shore, new tires on trailer and all the goodies like water skies and such.. The hull and keel are perfect...

Very nice.

I went with the OB 150 4stroke. Yamaha. All the electronics and such. I do alot of off shore fishing and I needed something that could stand a beating and get me back. I also have 2 girls ( wife and daughter ) that like to fish as much as I do and the 19'6 is perfect for us 3.

The best thing about the whole deal is - at cruise speed ( 30 mph @ 5600 rpm ) I get damn near 8 mpg. When you have to fill that 75 gal fuel tank, it's a blessing to own a 4stroke. I was skeptical at first because of the low end torque stories I heard, but after owning one, I will never go back to 2 stroke.

I heard that out boards are better the an I/O but, I did like the fact of GM 4.3 V6 in it. I know that engine is a monster for what it is and was very reliable. Being I had one in my S10, I know the in's and out's of it. Many don't know that the 4.3 has roller rockers.. Have not had her out yet, I should be getting some seat time in the next week or two. Just been way to busy..

Enjoy man...

Slick, have fun with that. We did boats for 30 years, great family fun; last one was a 19 ft SeaRay runabout similar to your Cobia. But when you get old, it's a bit much draggin' her off to the river or lake (both the boat and the wife). So I did the obvious...sold the boat and bought a classic Mustang.

Yeah, we did the boat thing for about 20 years too. God knows how much money I dumped into boats and equipment. Sure was fun for while it lasted, but it just got to be a PITA with just the wife and me. I pulled the rear end out from under a 1972 Monte Carlo, so had to get an F-150 truck. So, with all that, it just got too expensive.

Who needs trailers? My grandpa lowers the lift and goes right into the pine island sound and out into the gulf. Too bad my grandma wouldnt let him get a 30 ft mako.
