Okay got a 302 in my 66 conv not stock , don't know what year any easy way to tell what year it is also have no clue what kind of tranny I got 3 speed auto. Just for future issues.

Shifter drops real hard into drive and doesn't really go into park. Linkage problem i assume but I don't know jack. Doesn't have bushings in it , which i will get in the week but think problem might be more than that.

It is being a dick to start as well. seemed fine the last two weeks but now after messin with idle seems to be geeked out somehow, also rigged up wire from distributor to coil because other one was rotted, 10 guage should do what it needs to. I will change filters and clean carb but , i don't know , I'm not stupid (atleast not completely) but have a hell of a time following books. So any advice would be great.
