I searched through the FAQ's, looked over the fitment sites, and did a search, but could not find my answer.

My question is, will a 14x8 rim with 3.5" backspacing fit on a stock suspension '65? I would have 235 tires all around.

I currently have the 235's on the stock steel rims, and need a 1/4" spacer in front to clear the upper control arm ball joint with the tire. Would I just need to do the same with the 14x8's, or is the 3.5" back spacing too much? Would this place the tires to close to the lip of the fender? I have plenty of space now, and am running a new stock height suspension all around.

your going to have a problem with the 8 inches with rubbing, I have a 17x7 rim 3.5' with a 0 offset and I get slight rubbing from bumps.

tire will stick out past the fender.

14x8 with 235's is going to be a chubby little setup, I agree with dodgestang, I think you're going to be stickin out of the fenders.

What is the maximum rim size a 66 stang will take without modification. If i wanted to go with some 17's what would i need to do?
