Default Clutch Pedal Spring Removal

I need to remove the clutch pedal assist spring for I have installed a Centerforce - diaphram type clutch - and the pedal sits on the floor once pushed down. My question is, can this be done without removing the entire clutch/brake pedal support bracket from under the dash? Any tricks I should try? Etc.
Thanks!
