Default Was it worth it?

I did it, I bought my first classic car. Im doing this blind folded. 66 coupe, 289 runs great, new m/t 3 spd, Shelby hood(needs to be put on), 351 windsor block(needs rebuilt) 9 inch rear end(needs to be put in), couple of rust areas nothing major, original paint should be easy to get off. 5500, do you guys think I got ripped off.

I would need to see the body and stuff but if you want a good paint job add like 1500 (what i paid and im happy with it). Seems like a decent deal though, have fun!!! :]

Lemme make sure I get this right. You bought a '66 with a 289 and 3 speed.

You also received a Shelby hood, the 351w block, and 9" rear.

All this was 5500.

You did okay, especially starting with a V8 car. How complete is the 351w, anyway?

And....[sm=ttiwwp.gif]

hmm it was my dads friends son. that might have had somethin to do with it and that was with no body work needed. 3800 sounds steep though :/

I dont know anything about cars, I sorta threw myself into this blind folded. The guy told me it is just the 351 block, so that sounds like it needs alot of work. O I have a ton of pics but I lost the cable to transfer from camera to comp.
