Default Electric fan

hey guys, new to the forum. i have a 65 289 coupe that i installed an electric fan on. fan and relay work great, come on at 190* and pull some air. just not enough, car will overheat sitting in idle. i also have a 4 row radiator. i used a 14" supposidly 2000cfm from procomp. i thought it was a great deal off of ebay. it is crap i guess. my question is, has anyone else installed an electric fan on their classic stang? if so how does it do in the heat and what brand is it. im to the point i am thinking of buying a new oversize fan shroud and reinstalling my flex fan. thanks for the help.

Cory

This keeps my car cool at idle and with the AC on. I have a Griffin drop-in rad.

with my 4 row copper/brass rad, do you think that that would work? i would certainly hope so. it pulls more air and has a shroud.

Yes, it would fit the stock rad dimensions. If you get this fan you will need to make brackets and get a thermostat too. If you don't want to fab anything you can get this fan with everything you need for about $259 from HotRodAir or Scott Drake.

I've heard good results from the Taurus fan upgrade, I'm thinking of going that route...
