My Niece and nephew are both in San Diego at this point. My nephew has been all over, My Niece has been to Chicago, Florida, and now San Diego.

I've never seen the padded top like that. Very nice.

I'm on the Nimitz. You never know they might work for me!

Very Possible. I'm not sure what either of them are doing right now. When I asked my niece she said she could tell me, but then she'd have to kill me.
She's small and fiesty enough to do it too, so I didn't press the subject.

I'll have to ask them next time I talk to them.

Looks really good I like the console! I can't wait until I get past the point where it feels like I am getting nowhere and I can start putting things together instead of taking them apart! Its motivating seeing your work ....thanks

I should be working on the body not putting things together. It keeps me motivated when I can assemble things for the final time. I should be doing all of this after it is painted.

That is very cool. Nice work. Reminds me of when I bought my 67 Coupe (which I still own) when I was in the Navy back in the 80s. I was working on mine in between cruises, excercises, and deploymnets.

I was on the Vincennes (CG-49)...plank-owner. I bought my car while we were in the yards in San Pedro (bought it in Santa Monica). Funny, I still have the auto trader mag it was in.

You got me reminiscing.

Navy eh? Nothin but the Air Force life for me.. well except for 12 hour days, extended work after that, deployments every few months.. I am glad to be done with it actually, too old for that kinda work at my rank. Now its all gravy, never have to work for anyone ever again..

Never went to sea, but I didnt have much time to wrench on my cars either. Not having a garage/shop to do heavy stuff like engines/transmissions in was the big thing. Never enough time or space for body work, so all of mine are ugly.. well for a little while..

Ride is lookin good, hope you get it done before the next cruise. Hey, if you were in back in the 80s, arent you about done yet? You gotta be my age or older...

I'm Navy and I had to go back to sea! Leave for work about 0430 and get home between 1600 and 1700. Plus there is a lot of underway time coming up. You know, out to sea for a week in port for a week. It is really cramping my style. I have to get it done before spring because I will deploy for 6 months.

The gauges are Autometer Phantoms and I mounted them in a new cluster. I'm really happy with them.

I'm 46 now and joined in 1988. I've got 19 months to go. Not like I'm counting or anything.
