what are these?
well i was grinding down a gallon of bondo on my passenger side rocker panel, and i uncovered small holes?? or filled in holes? or something? i know the car was in an accident a long time ago and it totaly trashed alot of the passenger side. well heres some pics, hopefully someone can help

Those are definitely dent-puller holes. As you look at the depressions surrounding the holes, you see that holes themselves mark high-points in the metal...as if pulled out. Whatever they used...it was beefy.

+1 on the dent puller holes. I think you will find that if you get the bondo out of the holes the actual hole in the metal is not that big. In the old days when dent pullers were the standad method, the right way to make the hole was to use a punch or awl to make the hole. That way it would mushroom the metal inward and give more bite to the dent puller. After using the puller the metal around the hole would be flush. If you drill a hole then the puller has less to grip onto and will mushroom the hole outward and cause the metal around the hole to be too high. So the reason the hole looks so big is because there is a depression before the actual hole starts. Dig the bondo out of one hole and you will see what I mean.

What is amazing about that repair is that there seems to be a significant impact on that side (although not enough to warrant replacing the rocker), the line between the rocker and the door is very straight.
