Default Throttle response is chunky

Anyone have any idea what would cause my cars throttle to poop out when i get on the gas? its just fine idling in park when i take her out and punch it it goes fart fart vrooom fart is this the carburator? it didnt behave like this last time

had your car sat for a while? bad gas, something in the gas, that was the problem with mine. [&:]

I just fueld her up with 15 gallons and took off down the road she wont even pick up speed when i step on the gas it just chunks out and it feels like she isnt getting gas?

Any0ne care to comment ? the throttle response is getting really sh$tty ! i believe its the carburator il get home going 25 if i push it she starts wanting to die out and then kicks back up

maybe you need a new carb, just throwin that out there i dunno for sure, or a carb rebuild.

check the fuel filter it could be getting clogged, did it do it before you got the gas?

It started doing it yesterday in town but it wasnt that bad id stomp on it at a light and it wont light the tires up like it should i checked the fuel filter and turned the engine over and it has good fuel pressure sending it to the carb i dont know whats wrong

check the timing it could have jumped a tooth or two. carb issues usually come on slowly timing issues happen quickly.

Yeah the carb issue did happen slowly it got worse today i dont think its the timing i have electronic ignition by pertonix so i dont have to fool with points i didnt move the distributor at all ...

hmm really need some help with this everything points to the carb getting fuel pressure and spark it craps out when i get on the gas it has to be the carb im running a 600 holly electric carb do i need to get a new one?
