Default 6-v8

is it possible to put a 289 in for a straight 6 using the stock parts like tranny and rear end brand new at this so any help is great

It is possible, however you'll need all the V-8 stuff up front(brakes,spindles,springs,motor and frame mounts,tie-rods,engine wiring,etc....)and as far as the tranny and rear, as stated you could use them, but they won't last long.
