hey guys,


Then paint job that i am going to put on my 68' stang is going to be fire engine red with white racing stripes. but there is a problem, the hood i have now has 2 rear facing scoops on it, and they will get in the way of the stripes, and it will look gay, so i was wondering what would be the best style hood to fit the paint scheme that i want to go with? oh, i dont want t a regular or standard hood i want a hood With at least one scoop. thaks for any imput.

The stock GT hood is one of the best choices I have seen for the 67-68, IMO. The LeMans stripes will not look gay. My old 67 was teal green with black stripes and it looked awesome. I measured the stripes off the cowl vents. So they were covered and the stripe ran about half way across the scoops. Everyone who ever saw the car thought it looked great. But, its up to you. My second choice would be the shelby hood.

oh my friend, replacing the hood is allmost the last thing on my list, at least a year away, and thats being optomistic.
