Default RE: media blasting

I have a hood and a respirator.. still get grit in my 1/2" long flattop haircut.. it gets everywhere.

I would rather acid dip my car, it would simplify everything greatly. Sadly it isnt available up here, I would have to tow the car to Milwuakee to have it done. that is a LONG way to go to have a car stripped. The sealer they apply after the rinses works pretty well. At least hen I dont have to worry about rust inside my rockers and frame rails that I cant get to.

With the next car I will have a bit more cash to spend on media than I did on this one. So I might use soda or aluminum oxide to do it, it would go much faster than sand pit sand. beach sand just dont work, its too smoooth.. And anything silica based can mess you up pretty bad. My brother ended up in the hospital in Iraq because of silicosis and pneumonia, he had sand in his lungs from being out in the desert so long.. not a good thing..
